June 3, 2024, Noida: The Border Security Force BSF Vacancy 2024 has announced the recruitment of 162 Group B and C posts in its Water Wing. These vacancies are for the positions of Sub-Inspector (SI), Head Constable (HC), and Constable in various categories such as Engine Driver, Workshop, and Crew. Out of the total vacancies, 63 posts are unreserved, while 26 posts are reserved for EWS, 38 for OBC, 16 for SC, and 19 for ST categories. Currently, a short notification has been released, and a detailed notification will be issued soon. Interested candidates can apply for this recruitment until June 30.

Eligibility Criteria and Age Limit
- SI Master: Age 22-28 years. 12th pass. Must possess a 2nd Class Master Certificate issued by Central or State Inland Water Transport Authority/Mercantile Marine Department.
- SI Engine Driver: Age 22-28 years. Must possess a 1st Class Engine Driver Certificate issued by Central or State Inland Water Transport Authority/Mercantile Marine Department.
- HC Master: Age 20-25 years. 10th pass and Serang Certificate.
- HC Engine Driver: Age 20-25 years. 10th pass. Must possess a 2nd Class Engine Driver Certificate.
- HC Workshop: Age 20-25 years. 10th pass and Workshop Diploma ITI – Mechanic (Diesel/Petrol Engine), Workshop Electrician, Workshop AC Technician, Electronics, Machinist, Carpenter, Plumber, Motor Mechanic Diesel Petrol Engine, etc.
- Constable Crew: 10th pass. One year experience in operating a boat with less than 265 HP. Should know swimming in deep water without assistance.
