SSC Stenographer 2024 Important Dates
The SSC Stenographer 2024 notification will be released on July 26, 2024. Online applications can be submitted from July 26 to August 24, 2024, through the official website ssc.gov.in. The CBT exam is scheduled for October-November 2024, with specific dates to be announced later.
SSC Stenographer 2024 Application Fees
General, EWS, and OBC candidates are required to pay an application fee of Rs. 100/-. Candidates from SC, ST, and PWD categories, along with all female candidates, are exempt from the fee. Payment must be made online.

SSC Stenographer 2024 Exam Pattern
The written exam will be a CBT held in October-November 2024. It consists of 50 questions on reasoning, 50 on general awareness, and 100 on general English & comprehension. Each question carries one mark, with a total duration of 2 hours. There is a negative marking of 0.33 marks for each incorrect answer.
SSC Stenographer 2024 Skill Test
Candidates who pass the CBT will take the Stenography Test. The test involves a 10-minute dictation in English or Hindi at 100 words per minute (w.p.m.) for Grade ‘C’ and 80 w.p.m. for Grade ‘D’. The transcription times are as follows:
