What is Jal Jeevan Mission? ,

Jal Jeevan Mission, Modi government has a nationwide campaign. Its goal is to reach every household in the country with pure potable water by 2024. The Government of India is running many programs in the country to make Jal Jeevan Abhiyan a success. Along with this, a special ministry has also been created for water conservation, availability of pure drinking water and prevention of misuse. This ministry has been named Jal Shakti Ministry.

Jal Jeevan Mission was launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 15 August 2019. To make this mission a success, the central government has set a target of providing pure water from tap to every household by 2024 at a cost of Rs.3 lakh 60 thousand crore. According to the survey of the Ministry of Jal Shakti, the country’s 18,99,85,096 Families do not have access to potable water. But with the successful efforts of Jal Jeevan Mission till 15th August 2020. 5,55,52,125 The process of providing drinking water to households by tap (about 30 percent) has been completed.
