The digital centralized portal provides a wide range of services like job search, job matching, rich career content, career counselling, job fair information, local service providers like drivers, plumbers, etc. The portal facilitates the registration of job seekers, employers, skill providers, career counselors, local service providers (LSPs), career centres, placement organizations, households (to avail the services of LSPs) and government departments.
The portal is also supported by a multilingual call center where users can call for any support. NCS You can call on toll free number 1800-425-1514. The call center services are available from Tuesday to Sunday from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM in seven different languages i.e. Hindi, English, Bengali, Kannada, Malayalam, Tamil and Telugu.
Computer / Mobile browser, services on NCS Portal Common Service Center – CSC (1 Lakh+ Centers), Career Centers (900+ Employment Exchanges, 100+ Model Career Centers) and Post Offices. NCS does not charge any fee for registration on the portal and its services.

NCS Portal Connects job seekers, employers, counselors and training providers through Aadhaar-based authentication. Registration is online and free. The portal provides information on over 3000 career options across 53 key industry sectors – from IT to Textiles, Construction to Automobiles, Pharma and much more. Job seekers also have access to industry trends in a user-friendly manner.

If people are unable to register online, they can register themselves by visiting the nearest career center and get notifications on all types of jobs, career counselling, job fairs and other employment related services. The government is converting employment centres, employment centers and university placements into employment centres.

You can register online at portal www.ncs.gov.in or visit nearest Model Career Center or Common Service Center to get registered. You can request to register you call center executive by providing the required details.

What is the criteria for registration on NCS Portal?
Any person can do NCS registration by fulfilling the following eligibility:
Age- 14 years and above
Qualification- There is no minimum qualification for registration
I do not have ID proof, what to do?
It is mandatory to have an ID proof to register on the portal. Please contact your nearest Common Service Center for details regarding ID Proof like Aadhar Card, PAN Card etc.
Will I get calls from employers?
No, once registered, job seekers will receive notifications about job postings, interview schedules or job fairs and similar events through SMS and email only. If you have applied for a job, and the employer selects your profile, you will get a notification of the interview scheduled in your profile. You can check these information under the tab ‘My Interview’ on the left panel of your screen.
Can I get a government job through NCS?
NCS can only facilitate the process of Govt. Job search for job seekers, one can view job postings and apply for the same through the portal. NCS is not involved in the recruitment process, which is done by the employer concerned through the portal. However, you can save your preferences under the ‘Preferences’ tab on the left panel. This will help you get alerts about job postings that match your job preferences.
Do I have to pay to get the job?
No, you do not need to pay to get the job if you are submitting the profile through CSC (Common Service Center), in some states they charge a service fee. Please note that DGE or the Portal does not charge anything for any of its services on the Portal.
Can I get a job near my place?
Yes it can be found. You can start a location-based job search, which will list all relevant job postings in your preferred location.
Can I get a job I am interested in and am I not qualified for?
Yes. You can do this. You have to fill the details as per the ‘Keyword’ text box while searching the job on the portal.
