This scheme will be started on International, National Route with the help of Ministry of Civil Defence. Under this scheme, financial incentives are being given to selected airlines in terms of concessions from the central, state governments and airport operators. Under this scheme, perishable items will be delivered to the market at the earliest through the airline. In less time perishable things like milk, fish, meat etc. will be transported to the market quickly by air.

Purpose of Krishi Udan Yojana:
As you all know that farming takes a lot of hard work and at the same time more capital has to be invested. Despite a lot of hard work, farmers are not able to get a fair price. Since the grain or milk, fish, etc. of the farmers do not reach the market on time, due to which the farmers have to suffer. Therefore, keeping this in mind, Krishi Udan Yojana has been started. Under this, there will be a lot of help in doubling the income of the farmers.

- With this scheme, the country’s crop will be taken abroad by planes.
- Under the Krishi Udyog Yojana, the selected operators will be given financial incentives by the selected central and state governments in terms of concessions from airport operators.
- This scheme will help in doubling the income of the farmers.
- Under this scheme, at least half the seats on flights will be given at concessional fares and a certain amount of Viability Gap Funding (VGF) will be provided to the participating carriers.
- It will have the facility to transport perishable products in refrigerated compartments. Special Kisan trains are proposed to be run under Public-Private Partnership (PPP).
