Kyiv faced a heavy Russian attack on the night of 27 Aug 2025. Four people died, including two children, and 24 were injured. A five-storey building collapsed in the Darnytski district. Fires broke out in several parts of the city. Over 20 districts were hit, damaging homes, offices, and a shopping mall. Air defence was active during the attack. Rescue teams worked to help those trapped under rubble. The attack used drones, cruise missiles, and ballistic missiles. This comes after Russia’s invasion of Ukraine began over three years ago.
