Qantas has stopped its direct flights between Melbourne and Delhi from 31 May 2025. The service will restart on 27 October 2025. This pause is due to fleet and operational needs affecting the Airbus A330 planes used on this route. Business class passengers will be rerouted via Melbourne-Hong Kong, while economy passengers will travel via Singapore with IndiGo codeshare flights. Qantas said it remains committed to the Indian market and continues flights between Sydney and Bengaluru. Air India will be the only airline flying direct between Melbourne and Delhi during this period. Passengers are advised to check their travel plans and connections carefully.
