SpaceX launched its Starship rocket successfully from Texas on 26 Aug 2025. The rocket flew for about 60 minutes, reaching nearly 200 km above Earth. The booster separated and landed safely in the Gulf of Mexico. Some parts of the rocket caught fire but the mission was completed. This is SpaceX’s first full successful flight after several failures this year. NASA plans to use Starship for its Artemis Moon mission in 2027. Elon Musk, SpaceX CEO, praised the team for the achievement. The rocket is the largest and most powerful ever built and aims to carry humans to the Moon and Mars. Experts say this flight is a big step but more work is needed before human space travel. The US is racing with China to return humans to the Moon first. (Updated 27 Aug 2025, 19:54 IST; source: link)
