A school bus carrying around 40 students rolled over near Stonehaven, north-west of Geelong, on 27 Aug 2025. One student died, and several others were seriously injured. Emergency services attended the scene and focused on helping the injured. The Hamilton Highway was closed in both directions near the crash site. Police and ambulance teams are managing the situation. The local school community and officials expressed deep sadness and offered support to those affected.
