SpaceX’s Starship rocket launched successfully on 26 Aug 2025 from Starbase, Texas. This was the 10th test flight after two earlier delays. The 403-foot tall rocket tested new heat shield tiles and deployed mock Starlink satellites for the first time. The upper stage separated as planned and the booster landed in the Gulf of Mexico. Starship safely splashed down in the Indian Ocean after reentry, overcoming past failures. This flight showed progress toward Elon Musk’s goal of sending rockets to Mars and the moon. SpaceX will use data from this flight to improve future missions. The company aims to launch Starship many times daily in the future and prepare it for deep-space travel. The success is important for SpaceX’s satellite internet business and NASA’s lunar plans. (Updated 27 Aug 2025, 06:56 IST; source: link)
