London’s Metropolitan Police charged 67 people for supporting Palestine Action, a group banned as terrorist in July 2025. The accused will face court in October and may get up to six months in prison if found guilty. The UK government banned Palestine Action after vandalism at a Royal Air Force site. Since the ban, over 700 people have been arrested, mostly during protests. The police charged 64 people for protests in central London last month and three others earlier this month. Some well-known figures, like screenwriter Paul Laverty, were also arrested for supporting the group. Rights groups say the ban threatens free speech. The case is ongoing.
