Finnish President Alexander Stubb spoke in Helsinki before the ambassadors’ conference. He said he hopes US President Trump’s patience with Russian President Putin will end soon. Stubb said Finland and Europe will try hard to bring lasting peace. He suggested that to stop the Ukraine war, pressure should be on Putin’s allies in the east. Stubb also warned that Putin is using delay tactics to avoid meeting Ukraine’s President Zelenskyy. Talks are ongoing about security guarantees for Ukraine.
