India and Pakistan agreed to a ceasefire on 10 May 2025. This ended four days of fighting. Both sides stopped firing on land, in the air, and at sea from 5 pm IST. The ceasefire came after a terror attack in Pahalgam on 22 April 2025, which killed 26 people. The US, UK, Turkey, and Saudi Arabia helped in talks. India said the ceasefire was its own decision. Pakistan said many countries helped. Some border and airspace restrictions are still in place. Talks between military officers happened on 12 May. Both sides will discuss more issues later. The UN welcomed the ceasefire. It hopes this will help bring lasting peace. There have been some ceasefire violations. The situation is still tense. The Indus Waters Treaty remains suspended.
