India and Pakistan agreed to a ceasefire on 10 May 2025 after four days of fighting. The ceasefire started at 5 pm Indian time. Both sides stopped firing on land, in the air, and at sea. The agreement came after a terror attack in Pahalgam on 22 April 2025, which killed 26 people. The US, UK, Turkey, and Saudi Arabia helped in talks. India said the ceasefire was a bilateral move. Pakistan said many countries helped. The UN welcomed the move. Both countries still have bans on visas, trade, and flights. The Indus Waters Treaty remains suspended. Talks between military officials happened on 12 May. Both sides want to discuss different issues. India wants to talk about terrorism and Kashmir. Pakistan wants to discuss water and Kashmir.
