A man suspected of ordering the killing of three young women in Argentina was arrested in Peru. The women, two aged 20 and one aged 15, were lured to a house near Buenos Aires on 19 September. Their killers livestreamed the torture and murder on Instagram. Police found their bodies buried in the garden. Seven suspects were arrested in Argentina, but the main suspect, Tony Janzen Valverde Victoriano, escaped to Peru. He was caught on a highway near Lima while hiding in a fish transport van. Another suspect, Matías Ozorio, was also arrested in Peru and will be handed to Argentine police. The killings shocked the region and led to large protests against femicide in Buenos Aires. Argentine and Peruvian police worked together to track and arrest the suspects using intercepted communications. (Updated 1 Oct 2025, 16:22 IST; source: link)
