Chris Columbus, who directed the first Harry Potter films, shared his thoughts on HBO's new Harry Potter series. He noticed that Nick Frost, playing Hagrid, wears the same costume Columbus designed for the original films. Columbus said he is proud of his work but wants to move on and not return to the Harry Potter world. He feels the new show looks very similar to the old movies. However, he also said the TV series can show more details from the books that the films missed. The HBO series is currently being made and will release in 2027.
