Malayalam actress Lakshmi Menon was named in a kidnapping and assault case in Kochi on the night of 24 August 2025. She and her friends reportedly blocked the road near Ernakulam North railway overbridge and pulled an IT professional out of his car. The victim was forced into another vehicle and beaten. Police arrested three people connected to the case but Lakshmi Menon is absconding. The incident followed a dispute between two groups at a bar.
