Saralnama4 people were severely burned in an acid attack by a jeweler in Deoria, Uttar Pradesh. Sandhya Devi (35) had pawned her jewelry for ₹3 lakh six months ago. After repaying the full amount, she asked for her jewelry back. The jeweler refused and threw acid when Sandhya and her family members came to his shop. The injured include Sandhya, her brother Chandan Rajbhar (26), Raghav Verma (28), and Sudhanshu Shukla (17). They were first taken to a local hospital, then referred to medical colleges in Deoria and Gorakhpur for treatment. Police are investigating the incident.
