Mukesh Ambani Launches Reliance Intelligence for AI in IndiaSaralnama

On 29 Aug 2025, Mukesh Ambani launched Reliance Intelligence, a new AI subsidiary of Reliance Industries, at the company's 48th AGM in Mumbai. The venture aims to bring artificial intelligence to every Indian by building large-scale AI infrastructure, including gigawatt-scale data centres in Jamnagar, Gujarat. Reliance Intelligence will work with global tech giants Google and Meta, who hold stakes in Reliance's Jio Platforms, to develop AI applications and services for consumers, businesses, and sectors like education, healthcare, and agriculture. The data centres will be powered by green energy and designed for AI training and inference. Ambani said this AI push is as important as Reliance's digital services were a decade ago. The company plans to build a skilled workforce of AI researchers and engineers. To use AI services, individuals and businesses can access them through Reliance’s platforms as they roll out.
