Janhvi Kapoor and Sidharth Malhotra spoke about their film Param Sundari, releasing on 29 Aug 2025. Some fans compared it to the 2013 hit Chennai Express. Janhvi said the films are different because her character is from Kerala, not Tamil Nadu like in Chennai Express. She said not all South Indians are the same. She also mentioned that films like 2 States came before Chennai Express and such films are rare. Janhvi respects Chennai Express as an iconic film but said Param Sundari has a different story and setting. The actors want audiences to see Param Sundari on its own merits.
