Pakistan withdrew from the Junior Hockey World Cup scheduled from in India. The International Hockey Federation (FIH) confirmed this on Friday. The tournament will be held in Chennai and Madurai. Pakistan was in Pool B with India, Chile, and Switzerland. FIH will announce a replacement team soon. This follows Pakistan's withdrawal from the Hockey Asia Cup in Bihar last month. Tensions between India and Pakistan have risen after the Pahalgam terror attack on and India's Operation Sindoor. Earlier, the Indian team refused to accept the Asia Cup trophy from Najam Sethi, who is also Pakistan's Interior Minister, in protest of the Pahalgam attack.
