The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection has announced details for the IBPS Clerk Mains examination 2025. Candidates who successfully cleared the preliminary round can now access their admit cards for the main exam. The mains test will assess applicants across four sections: Reasoning Ability & Computer Aptitude, English Language, Quantitative Aptitude, and General/Financial Awareness. The examination carries a total of 200 marks with 190 questions to be attempted in 120 minutes. Selected candidates will be placed in various public sector banks participating in this recruitment cycle, including Bank of Baroda, Punjab National Bank, Canara Bank, Indian Bank, and Union Bank of India among others. The starting salary for clerks ranges from ₹24,050 to ₹40,000 per month, along with additional allowances such as HRA, DA, and TA as per government norms. The mains examination comprises 190 questions worth 200 marks divided into four sections. Reasoning Ability & Computer Aptitude has 40 questions for 60 marks in 35 minutes. English Language consists of 40 questions for 40 marks in 35 minutes. Quantitative Aptitude includes 35 questions for 50 marks in 30 minutes, while General/Financial Awareness has 40 questions for 50 marks in 20 minutes. A total of 15,684 vacancies are available across twelve participating banks including Bank of India, Central Bank of India, Bank of Maharashtra, UCO Bank, and Punjab & Sind Bank. Selected candidates will receive a monthly salary between ₹24,050 and ₹40,000 plus allowances like HRA, DA, and TA according to government regulations.
