The Prayagraj Examination Regulatory Authority in Uttar Pradesh has announced admissions for the Diploma in Elementary Education for the 2025-26 academic session. The online registration process opened on 24 November 2025 and will continue until 15 December 2025 through the official portal. Candidates interested in this two-year teacher training programme must hold a bachelor's degree in science, arts, commerce, or other streams with minimum marks as per category requirements. General and OBC candidates need 50% marks, while SC, ST, OBC, and PH candidates require 45% marks from a recognised university. A total of 2,33,350 seats are available. The selection will be based on merit calculated from Class 10, Class 12, and graduation percentages, followed by counselling and document verification. Application fees vary by category, ranging from 200 to 700 rupees.

The notification was released on 17 November 2025, with the application period running from 24 November 2025 to 15 December 2025. Fee payment is accepted until 16 December 2025, and candidates can print their application forms until 18 December 2025. The application fee differs by category: General and OBC candidates must pay 700 rupees, SC and ST candidates pay 500 rupees, and persons with disabilities pay 200 rupees. Payment can be made through credit card, debit card, net banking, or offline via e-challan. Counselling dates for both first and second phases, along with admission, document verification, and session start dates, will be announced later on the official website.
