The Staff Selection Commission has announced recruitment for 3,073 Sub-Inspector positions across various central armed police forces. The vacancies are distributed among Delhi Police, Border Security Force, Central Industrial Security Force, Central Reserve Police Force, Indo-Tibetan Border Police, and Sashastra Seema Bal. Positions are reserved for different categories including Unreserved, Economically Weaker Section, Other Backward Classes, Scheduled Castes, and Scheduled Tribes, with separate quotas for male and female candidates. The largest number of openings is in CISF with 1,294 posts, followed by CRPF with 1,029 positions. Candidates must meet specific physical standards for height, chest measurement, and athletic events including races, jumps, and shot put. Selected Sub-Inspectors will receive compensation at Pay Level 6 with an initial monthly salary ranging from ₹35,400 to ₹1,12,400 along with various allowances.

Vacancy Distribution and Physical Standards
CISF leads with 1,294 vacancies including 1,164 male and 130 female posts. CRPF offers 1,029 positions, while BSF has 223 openings. Delhi Police accounts for 212 posts, ITBP provides 233 vacancies, and SSB has 82 positions. Male candidates from General, OBC, and SC categories need 170 cm height with 80-85 cm chest expansion, while ST male candidates require 162.5 cm height. Female applicants from General, OBC, and SC categories must have 157 cm height. Physical tests include a 100-meter race with timing requirements of 16 seconds for males and 18 seconds for females, along with long jump, high jump, and shot put events with three attempts allowed.
