The Staff Selection Commission has announced recruitment for 3,073 Sub-Inspector positions across multiple armed forces for 2025. The vacancies are distributed among Delhi Police, Border Security Force (BSF), Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), and Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB). Positions are allocated across different categories including Unreserved (UR), Economically Weaker Section (EWS), Other Backward Classes (OBC), Scheduled Caste (SC), and Scheduled Tribe (ST), with separate quotas for male and female candidates. The recruitment process includes physical eligibility tests covering height, chest measurements (for males), and physical efficiency tests including races, long jump, high jump, and shot put. Selected candidates will receive a fixed pay ranging from ₹35,400 to ₹1,12,400 per month at Pay Level 6, along with additional allowances such as House Rent Allowance, Dearness Allowance, Travel Allowance, and other benefits.
Vacancy Distribution and Physical Standards
The largest allocation is for CISF with 1,294 posts, followed by CRPF with 1,029 posts, BSF with 223 posts, and smaller numbers for Delhi Police (212 posts), ITBP (233 posts), and SSB (82 posts). Male candidates from General, OBC, and SC categories must have a minimum height of 170 cms and chest measurement of 80-85 cms, while ST male candidates require 162.5 cms height and 77-82 cms chest. Female candidates from General, OBC, and SC categories need 157 cms height. Physical efficiency tests include a 100-meter race (16 seconds for males, 18 seconds for females), long jump, high jump, and shot put, with three attempts allowed for each event.
