75% of Agniveers may get permanent appointments in the Indian Army. Defense Minister Rajnath Singh will visit Tanot and Longewala on during his two-day Jaisalmer trip. He will meet soldiers at the border and pay tribute to martyrs. Singh will then join the Army Commanders' Conference. The conference, dubbed 'Year of Reforms', focuses on national security, military preparedness, and structural reforms. Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi will propose increasing permanent appointments of Agniveers from 25% to 75%.
