Car Crash Kills Youth, Sparks Highway Protest in UdaipurSaralnama

A fatal car accident occurred on NH-162E in Sayra, Udaipur on Thursday morning. A car hit a motorcycle, dragging it 20 feet and killing the rider. The car driver fled but was later caught. Hundreds of tribal youth gathered on the highway, demanding ₹1 crore compensation and a government job for the victim's family. They blocked the road, threw stones, and chanted slogans. Police attempts to calm the crowd led to stone-pelting, damaging police vehicles. Eight policemen were injured, including ASI Bhanwar Singh who needed seven stitches. The highway was cleared by 6 PM and the body was taken to Gogunda CHC mortuary. Police detained 8 protesters and seized 35 vehicles.
