CM Naidu Stops Convoy To Hear Farmer Land Dispute In East Godavari
Saralnama

Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu halted his convoy in Kakinada upon noticing a farmer, Kommuri Gangadhar from Durgada village, holding a placard demanding justice over land issues. Gangadhar had attempted to meet the CM earlier but was moved away by police. Naidu ordered his driver to stop and asked security to bring the farmer to him. Gangadhar explained that he and his paternal uncle lost significant portions of their inherited land during a resurvey conducted under the YSRC regime—15 cents from his 50 cents and 69 cents from his uncle’s 81 cents. Despite repeated representations to officials, no resolution was provided. Naidu accepted the representation and assured justice. Several other farmers from Godavari districts also submitted similar complaints to the Chief Minister, highlighting widespread issues with land records and ownership disputes in the region.
