PM Modi Inaugurates Rs 13,000 Crore Development Projects in Bihar

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for development projects worth around Rs 13,000 crore in Gaya, Bihar. Accompanied by Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and Deputy Chief Ministers Samrat Chaudhary and Vijay Sinha, Modi flagged off two trains: the Amrit Bharat Express between Gaya and Delhi and the Buddhist Circuit Train between Vaishali and Koderma. He laid the foundation for urban infrastructure projects including sewage treatment plants and water supply schemes under AMRUT 2.0 in Aurangabad, Bodhgaya, Jehanabad, and other areas. Modi inaugurated the Aunta-Simaria bridge on NH-31, an 8.15 km, six-lane bridge over the Ganga costing over Rs 1,870 crore, improving connectivity between Mokama and Begusarai. He also opened the four-lane Bakhtiyarpur-Mokama section of NH-31 and upgraded the NH-120 section to enhance rural connectivity. The Buxar Thermal Power Plant (660 MW) worth Rs 6,880 crore was inaugurated to boost power generation. Additionally, the Homi Bhabha Cancer Hospital and Research Centre in Muzaffarpur and a sewerage treatment plant at Munger under Namami Gange were inaugurated to improve health infrastructure and reduce pollution in the Ganga.
