Archana Tiwari, a 29-year-old lawyer from Madhya Pradesh, went missing on August 7 while traveling by Narmada Express from Indore to Katni. Her last known location was near Rani Kamalapati station, after which her phone was switched off. Despite extensive investigations by GRP and local police, including CCTV reviews and questioning, no solid leads emerged for 12 days. The case took a turn when Archana called her mother from Kathmandu, Nepal, revealing her location. Police traced her to near the India-Nepal border in Lakhimpur Kheri, Uttar Pradesh, and safely recovered her. Investigations continue to determine how and why she traveled to Kathmandu. A Gwalior police constable who helped book her ticket was taken into custody for questioning but denied involvement in her disappearance. Police teams from Bhopal, Gwalior, and Jabalpur are jointly probing the case.
