Sikandra Assembly constituency in Jamui district, Bihar, was established in 1962 and reserved for Scheduled Castes since 1967. The seat has seen various political leaders, including Rameshwaram Paswan, who won multiple times between 1980 and 2010, representing parties like Congress, LJP, and JD(U). In 2015, Sudhir Kumar (Congress) won, followed by Prafull Kumar Manjhi of HAM(S) in 2020. The constituency is part of Jamui Lok Sabha seat and comprises four assembly segments: Sikandra (SC), Jamui, Jhajha, and Chakai.
