IAN Group has appointed Chintan Thakkar, former Group CFO of Info Edge India Limited, as its CEO and Senior Managing Partner of the IAN Alpha Fund. Thakkar played a key role in transforming Info Edge from a small-cap to a large-cap company and was involved in its early-stage investments. IAN Group, a platform for early-stage investing, currently has a portfolio of about 240 companies, including three unicorns and seven soonicorns. Co-Founder Padmaja Ruparel stated that Thakkar’s induction strengthens the management team, which includes Rajnish Kapur, Madhav Sikka, and Sarika Saxena, and supports the group’s vision to invest Rs 5,000 crore, support 500 startups, and create 500,000 jobs.
