The Pradhan Mantri Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana (PMVBRY) is a Rs 1 lakh crore initiative aimed at creating over 3.5 crore jobs from August 1, 2025, to July 31, 2027. The scheme applies to all employers and first-time employees. It has two parts: Part A targets employees earning up to Rs 1 lakh, while Part B provides incentives to employers who hire and retain 2 to 5 additional employees for at least six months. First-time employees receive a one-time incentive equal to one month’s basic pay, capped at Rs 15,000, paid in two instalments. The scheme is valid for two years, with a possible four-year extension for manufacturing companies.
