
Xiaomi's sub-brand Redmi has launched the Redmi 15 5G smartphone in India, priced starting at Rs 14,999 for the 6GB RAM and 128GB storage variant. The phone features a 6.9-inch full-HD+ LCD display with a 144Hz refresh rate, up to 850 nits brightness, and a 288Hz touch sampling rate. It is powered by the Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 chipset, paired with up to 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. A key highlight is its 7,000mAh silicon-carbon battery, supporting 33W fast charging and 18W reverse wired charging. The device runs HyperOS 2.0 based on Android 15, promising two years of main OS updates and four years of security patches. Camera setup includes a 50MP primary rear sensor and an 8MP front camera, with video recording capped at 1080p 30fps. Additional features include a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, IR blaster, Bluetooth 5.1, dual-band Wi-Fi, USB Type-C port, and an IP64 rating for dust and splash resistance.
