Noida, Sep 30, 2025 — In a major step to improve city sanitation, the Noida Authority will soon install GPS devices in e-rickshaws used for door-to-door garbage collection.

Authority CEO Lokesh M reviewed ongoing cleanliness campaigns on Tuesday and directed officials to ensure strict monitoring. He emphasized that identified garbage dumping spots must be reduced, and awareness drives should be intensified in villages to discourage open dumping.

The CEO also instructed teams to take regular measures to keep central verges free of waste and ordered weekly cleaning reviews. He raised concerns about the increasing number of beggars in Sector-18, Sector-51, and Atta Market, asking for rehabilitation proposals.

Further, PG owners and street vendors will be required to keep dustbins on their premises. NGOs involved in awareness campaigns must submit weekly reports every Friday, with performance reviews based on their work.

Seven to eight NGO groups will run campaigns in rural areas, educating residents about cleanliness, dengue prevention, and waste-related diseases. Officials including ACEO Krishna Karunesh, OSD Mahendra Prasad, GM SP Singh, and others attended the meeting.

This initiative is expected to improve waste management efficiency and reduce littering across Noida, making the city cleaner and healthier.
