Man Found Dead in EcoTech-1, Police Suspect Money Dispute Behind Murder

Noida, September 27: A 52-year-old man was found dead under suspicious circumstances in the EcoTech-1 police station area, raising serious concerns over public safety.

The victim, identified as Mohammad Qureshi, an animal trader from Bilaspur, had gone missing on September 23 after leaving home to purchase cattle. His family filed a missing complaint at Dankaur police station when he did not return.

On September 25, his body was discovered in a forest area behind Galgotias and NIU universities. Police confirmed that the body bore multiple injury marks, suggesting Qureshi was assaulted before being killed. The remains have been sent for post-mortem, and the autopsy report is awaited.

Investigators believe a financial dispute may be the motive behind the murder. Police sources said that some suspects’ names have already surfaced during the inquiry, and teams are working to trace them.

“It appears the incident is linked to a money-related dispute. We have obtained some strong leads, and the case will be solved soon,” a senior officer said.

The murder has unsettled residents, highlighting concerns around financial disputes turning violent in the region. Police have assured swift action and heightened vigilance.
