Noida, September 26, 2025: A worker who was allegedly assaulted by the husband of a woman constable in Mamura village, Noida, has died during treatment at a Delhi hospital. Police have registered a case of culpable homicide not amounting to murder against the accused, who is already in jail.
The victim, Satyadev, was seriously injured earlier this month following a dispute over money. He was admitted to a Delhi hospital, where his condition deteriorated and he later succumbed to injuries.
According to police, the accused Sachin Yadav, husband of a woman constable posted at Sector 39 police station, had been arrested earlier and remains in judicial custody. After Satyadev’s death, additional charges under culpable homicide were added.
Police officials confirmed that the case was registered at Phase-3 police station based on the complaint filed by the victim’s family. The family alleged that Yadav had also issued threats during the altercation.
Authorities said further investigation is underway, and the incident has once again highlighted concerns over law enforcement accountability in the region.
