Noida News : Sector 75 Drowning In Garbage As Waste Management System Collapses Completely

2 min read

Sep 22, 2025, Noida: Sector 75 residents are facing a complete breakdown of garbage collection services, with overflowing bins creating health hazards and turning the upscale residential area into a stinking nightmare for thousands of families.

Garbage trucks have not shown up for weeks in several blocks, leaving residents with rotting waste piles right outside their homes. The crisis has reached breaking point with some garbage heaps growing taller than a person in open plots.

“It’s like living in a slum,” said a resident. “We pay heavy house tax and maintenance, but garbage is piled up everywhere. The smell is unbearable, especially with this heat.”

Children in the area have started falling sick due to unhygienic conditions. “My 8-year-old developed a stomach infection last week. The doctor said it’s because of the garbage and flies everywhere,” said another affected parent.

Local businesses are also suffering as customers avoid the area due to the stench. A shopkeeper complained that the garbage situation is driving away business, with some customers refusing to visit shops in the sector.

The problem has worsened as residents dump waste in open areas when official bins overflow. “The garbage truck hasn’t come to our street in 15 days. What choice do we have?” asked a housewife.

Health experts warn the situation could lead to disease outbreaks if not addressed immediately. A doctor from a nearby clinic reported seeing more cases of dengue, stomach infections, and respiratory problems, saying the garbage has become a breeding ground for mosquitoes and bacteria.

The sector’s RWA president said repeated complaints to Noida Authority have fallen on deaf ears. “We’ve written letters, made calls, even met officials personally. They keep promising action but nothing happens. Now rats and stray dogs are everywhere because of the garbage.”

When contacted, Noida Authority officials promised immediate action and said additional garbage trucks would be deployed to clear the backlog within 48 hours.
