School Holiday Announced in Several Regions of Maharashtra Due to Heavy Rainfall

Maharashtra Heavy Rainfall, 25 July 2024: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecasted moderate to intense rainfall accompanied by gusty winds of 50-60 kmph in isolated parts of Mumbai. Due to this warning, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation is likely to announce the closure of schools and colleges. Students and parents are advised to stay in contact with school authorities for updates on school holidays.

Schools Closed in Pune

Pune District Collector Suhas Diwase has declared a holiday for all schools and colleges in the region due to heavy rains in the hilly areas of Pune. The district administration is closely monitoring the situation, and industrial establishments have granted employees a day off.

Following an orange alert issued by the IMD, the Palghar Collector has declared a holiday for schools. The IMD has predicted heavy rainfall in the district.

Schools Closed in the KDMC Area

All medium and board schools from classes 1 to 12 in the KDMC area have been given a holiday today due to anticipated heavy rainfall and potential commuting difficulties.

Schools Closed in Lonavala

Due to the heavy rainfall in the region, the Lonavala Municipal Administration has announced a holiday for all schools in the district. According to media reports, schools in Lonavala will remain closed until tomorrow, July 26, 2024.
