Noida Police Takes Strong Action Against Rs 15,000 Crore GST Fraud, Charges 33 Accused as Gangsters

June 4, 2024, Noida: The Noida police have been working hard to catch the people involved in a Rs 15,000 crore GST fraud case. They have already arrested 45 people and sent them to jail. Out of these, 33 have been charged as gangsters. All the people who were caught are said to be very rich, with billions of rupees.

The police have said that they will soon take over the properties of all the accused in this case. They have started the process and will seize their movable and immovable assets, which are worth billions of rupees. The Noida police will do this very soon.

DCP Crime Shakti Awasthi said, “We have started taking action under Section 82 against many of the accused at their homes. We have identified their properties and made announcements in their areas. We have also put notices on their properties. If the accused do not come forward within the given time, the court will order us to seize their properties. We will take strict action against anyone found guilty in the GST fraud case.

The police had found out about this fraud in June 2023. They have arrested 45 people so far, including Gaurav Singhal, Gurmeet Singh, Rajeev, Rahul, Vinita, Ashwani, Atul Senger, Deepak Murjani, Yasin, Vishal, Rajeev, Jatin, Nandkishore, Amit Kumar, Mahesh, Pritam Sharma, Rakesh Kumar, Ajay Kumar, Dilip Kumar, Manan Singhal, Piyush, Atul Gupta, Sumit Garg, and Kunal. They have also charged 33 of the accused as gangsters in this case.

The quick action taken by the Noida police against the GST fraud has sent a clear message to those who do such wrong things. Taking over the properties of the accused will make others think twice before doing something similar.
