A Noida-based woman has levelled serious allegations against Cloudnine Hospital’s fertility department, claiming that a senior IVF specialist promoted a fixed ₹1.65 lakh treatment package without reviewing her medical history and did not provide any emergency communication support. The patient, who requested anonymity, says she visited Cloudnine after experiencing two failed IVF cycles and carried over 30 pages of detailed fertility documents, expecting a professional assessment.

The patient further claims that Cloudnine staff refused to provide any emergency contact number for the doctor, stating that “numbers are not allowed on documents.” She alleges that this left her feeling unsafe, saying she felt that “even if a medical emergency happened, there would be no way to reach the doctor.” According to her, the hospital’s approach appeared “commercial, with no emotional sensitivity or patient support.”

Healthcare law experts note that if verified, the allegations could raise compliance concerns under the ART (Assisted Reproductive Technology) Act, 2021, the Clinical Establishments Act, and the Consumer Protection Act, all of which require transparent counselling and prohibit commercial pressure in infertility treatment.

Cloudnine Hospital has not yet responded to the allegations. The patient has indicated she may escalate the matter to the CMO, NMC Ethics Board, ART authorities, and Consumer Court.
