Greater Noida News: Trade Show Highlights Growth As New Expressway Cleared

1 min read

Greater Noida, September 27: Greater Noida is emerging as a growth engine for NCR, with economic and infrastructure updates marking a transformative day.

The ongoing Uttar Pradesh International Trade Show 2025 remains the city’s centerpiece, hosting more than 2,400 exhibitors and lakhs of visitors at the India Expo Mart. International participation, particularly from Russia, continues to drive discussions on healthcare, technology, and engineering collaborations.

Parallel to trade developments, the Centre has cleared a 30 km riverside expressway that will connect Delhi, Noida, Greater Noida, and the upcoming Jewar International Airport. The project, expected to be executed by NHAI, aims to decongest the existing Noida–Greater Noida Expressway, which currently sees traffic of nearly five lakh vehicles daily.

Running parallel to the Yamuna River, the expressway will link with both the Noida-Greater Noida and Yamuna expressways, offering faster access to Jewar. Planners said the design will meet advanced safety standards to reduce accidents.

Amid progress, road safety remains a concern. A hit-and-run accident left a biker critically injured after being struck by an unidentified vehicle. Police have launched a search and urged residents to follow traffic norms.

The day highlighted Greater Noida’s role as both a hub for international partnerships and a city grappling with safety challenges, balancing ambitious growth with ground-level realities.
