Ghaziabad News: Dengue Control Drive, Registry Offices To Stay Open On Sunday

1 min read

Ghaziabad, September 27: The city administration intensified its dengue and malaria control drive, imposing fines on residents for negligence in maintaining hygiene that leads to mosquito breeding.

Five residents were penalised after inspectors found larva in stored water at their homes despite repeated warnings. Officials said these measures aim to check the seasonal surge of mosquito-borne diseases that have already triggered concern across NCR.

Health teams are conducting house-to-house surveys, advising residents to use repellents, cover water tanks, and avoid stagnant water. The campaign covers high-alert localities identified as breeding hotspots.

On the administrative front, registry offices will remain open on Sunday, September 28, to facilitate property transactions during the festive Navratri period. Authorities said the move is designed to assist buyers and sellers, boosting real estate momentum in the city.

Together, these initiatives underline Ghaziabad’s focus on public health preparedness and citizen-friendly governance during a busy festive season.
