Hundreds of Brahmin community members rallied in Sidhi district on to protest Suraj Mishra's murder in Rimari village. They submitted a memorandum to the tehsildar demanding the death penalty for accused Yashoda Yadav, Sukhlal Yadav, and Mole Yadav. The protesters also called for bulldozing the accused's homes and ₹2 crore aid for Mishra's family. Community leaders warned of intensified protests if justice is delayed. Mishra, 27, was killed on during Govardhan Puja celebrations, allegedly by neighbors upset over not being invited. Police have arrested the three accused.
