Bhopal banned the sale, purchase, and storage of carbide pipe guns. This follows eye injuries to about 300 people across Madhya Pradesh, including 162 in Bhopal. The ban comes after Diwali, when these guns were sold openly. Most victims are children aged 7-14. Gandhi Medical College is treating 36 patients, with 15 surgeries done so far. Collector Kaushlendra Vikram Singh visited Hamidia Hospital and assured help to patients. 55 guns were seized from firecracker markets. Violators will face FIRs. Gwalior has also banned these guns.
