Cotton markets in Khargone district will face a lockdown on from 10 am. The National Farmers and Workers Union announced a sit-in protest against delays in Cotton Corporation of India's (CCI) purchase at support prices. Union representatives met Additional Collector Rekha Rathore on Thursday evening. She urged them to cancel the protest, stating purchases would start. However, farmer representative Sukhdev Patidar said the protest decision was final. Meanwhile, Rathore reviewed soybean purchase arrangements under the Bhavantar scheme starting.
