23.81 lakh farmers in Madhya Pradesh received ₹1801.96 crore as compensation from the state government this year. The amount, nearly triple last year's ₹660.57 crore, aids farmers affected by crop damage, pest attacks, floods, and livestock loss. ₹1623 crore was distributed in August, September, and October. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav promised remaining payments by month-end. Rajgarh, Shajapur, Sehore, Ujjain, Dewas, Agar Malwa, and Sagar districts received the most compensation. 14.93 lakh farmers affected by heavy rains and floods got ₹1082.12 crore. 8.87 lakh farmers with crops damaged by yellow mosaic virus and pests received ₹544.44 crore.
