Madhya Pradesh has resumed adding eligible families to the Below Poverty Line (BPL) list after a year. About 8 lakh people across MP, including 16,000 in Bhopal, will be added. KYC is now mandatory for inclusion. Ward and panchayat-level identification of eligible families has begun. After local data collection and verification, the list will be updated at the state level. Families left out earlier will get a chance for inclusion. The process was paused. In Bhopal, 6,000 new families have been added so far. Over 63% of Bhopal's population is on the BPL list.
