Saralnama, a 74-year-old Dalit woman was brutally beaten in Niwari district for asking about her Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana house. Shanti Ahirwar visited Rajkumar Sahu, husband of the village sarpanch, at 6 pm to inquire about the delay in her house construction. Sahu became angry, used casteist slurs, and physically assaulted her. The incident occurred in Manetha village, Prithvipur police station area. Despite complaints, no action was taken until a video surfaced. Police then arrested Sahu, filing a case under SC/ST Act and assault charges.
