In a conversation with Curly Tales, the Stree 2 star shared her preference for simple poha without too many additions. She also mentioned experimenting with a combination of poha and sprouts when she wanted to lose weight, finding it an effective balance. Poha, also known as flattened rice or beaten rice, is a classic Indian breakfast dish widely popular in states like Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh. It is valued for its simplicity, delicious taste, and ease of preparation. Nutritionists highlight that this combination offers multiple health benefits, including sustained energy, better satiety, and improved nutritional value. However, experts caution that weight loss requires a comprehensive approach beyond just one meal, including regular exercise, healthy eating habits, adequate sleep, and stress management.

Nutritionists explain that poha provides carbohydrates for sustained energy, with a glycemic index between 38 and 64, meaning it has a moderate impact on blood sugar levels. Adding sprouts increases protein and fibre content, enhancing satiety and helping control hunger longer. Sprouts contain only 30 calories per 100 grams compared to poha's 150 calories, making the combination lower in calories while maintaining portion size. Sprouts are nutrient powerhouses, rich in protein, fibre, vitamins A and C, potassium, calcium, and phosphorus. However, experts advise boiling sprouts and consuming moderate amounts, as raw sprouts can cause food poisoning in people with autoimmune conditions, low immunity, children, and the elderly. Weight loss requires a holistic approach combining healthy food choices, regular exercise, proper sleep, and stress management.
